主要研究方向为适老化设计、家居产品设计、艺术疗愈、文创产品设计。完成省级、市厅级科研项目6项，与企业完成横向课题8项。独立完成学术专著1部，担任SSCI期刊审稿人，在SSCI、AHCI等国内外核心期刊上发表学术论文9篇，发表核心作品2副。设计作品多次在国内外设计展览中获奖，科研论文获襄阳市第十届社会科学优秀成果奖。指导学生作品在国内外设计竞赛中多次获奖。
